My Love For...

....Domo-kun.
My roommates just bought me this kawaii hat!  They handed it to me saying that it's the ultimate two in one.
They know that I love both Domo and pandas.  How cute are they?!

This hat inspired me to do a post about something I really love, Domo-kun.
He's just too kawaii!  I know a lot of people disagree but I think Domo is absolutely adorable.

I've decided to share photos of my small Domo collection.
Key cover, lanyard, USB port

Pencil case and cell phone holder
Purse and coin purse

Domos from the claw machine

Domosaur T-shirt

I think my collection would be a lot larger if I didn't love so many things!  I have some Totoro, Tokidoki, and The Public Zoo/pandas.  I just love kawaii things, I cant just choose one.  I wish Rilakkuma and Tarepanda was more readily available here, they're so kawaii!!

Maybelline NY Lash Discovery Mascara Review

I haven't been wearing false lashes very often because they are getting all old and out of shape and since I don't have a container for them, I keep losing them!  Before I found this mascara, I was using Maybelline Lash Stiletto with Dolly Wink Volume.  Occasionally I would use Urban Decay's Big Fatty mascara but I don't really like the formula because it's so dry and waxy lol.  This is definitely my new HG lengthening mascara!
In the packaging
The wand is actually very small.  Great for those hard to reach areas.
Bare, uncurled lashes.
Only curled.
Curled with Lash Discover mascara
Lash Discovery paired with one coat of Dolly Wink Volume.

My take:
This mascara is great!  It really lengthens and defines your lashes without any clumping at all.  I love the small applicator, it makes it really easy to get your bottom lashes and those hard to reach corners.  The formula itself is really light.  It is not one of those mascaras that are very thick and a lot of extra mascara clumps on the very tip of the wand.  The tip of the wand on this mascara is always clean!  I really like this because I use the tip to individually define my lashes and it seems like a waste to wipe off all that excess mascara!  This mascara claims to be waterproof and guess what?  It really is.  I dabbed water all over my bottom lashes and the mascara did not run.

Pros:
Very cheap (I bought it  for $5.99 at Target)
Lengthens and defines
Waterproof
Small applicator for those hard to reach areas
No excess mascara on the wand
No clumps
Cons:
It may take some patience to apply.  You may need to build layers since the formula isn't thick.

Rating: 5/5 This mascara is fantastic!

One day I need to try Dolly Wink Long Mascara.  I heard great things about it!  I wish it was more readily available though.

Best Mascara Ever?

So I went to Target today to pick up some house hold items.  On my way out, I decided to stroll through the cosmetic section.  I picked out a mascara and I just tried it.  I have to say I think it is the best mascara I've ever tried.  Ever.  I'll do a review on it tomorrow! Can you say new HG mascara? <3

MAC Liquidlast Liner Dupe

My HG eyeliner is MAC's Liquidlast Liner in Point Black.  It has been the only eyeliner that I've tried that was truly waterproof, sweat proof, smudge proof, and long lasting....until now.
I was researching dupes for popular name brand products and I came across one that was too good to be true, a dupe for my prized $17.50 eyeliner for only $6.49.  Last night, I went to my nearest Walgreens and purchased it, Milani Infinite Liquid Eyeliner in Black.
I tried it this morning and I was more than happy with it.  It seems like it is the same formula as my Liquidlast!  In some aspects, it's even better than Liquidlast.  Milani Inifinite comes in a 5mL container whereas MAC Liquidlast comes in a 2.5mL container.  Thats double the product for about 1/3 of the price!  It isn't as gooey as Liquidlast either.

It looks as if the Milani tip is sharper but I just wiped off more product than I did from the MAC brush.  They are almost if not, identical.

(Sorry for the bad quality of the swatches.  My camera died and I had to use my photobooth!)

Neither of them budged at all!
I have officially found my new HG eyeliner <3

My Halloween Costume

I'm pretty sad to say that a lot of people did a tutorial on this costume.  I was going to do a tutorial on it but Bubzbeauty beat me to it.  Kim Dao actually did a tutorial as well.  The character is Misa Amane from the anime Death Note.  I watched this anime this past summer and immediately fell in love with Misa.  She's just too kawaii!  I love how she calls herself Misa-Misa, I love her lolita fashion sense, I love how she's so crazy about Light.  There are so many things I could list about why I fell in love with her.
Here are a couple photos of her:

The second photo is a screen shot from the anime.  I wanted to do a lot of screen shots but I became too lazy to search for her.
I think you guys have an idea of what she looks like right?
I tried to be as exact as I possibly could with her costume but since I had a hard time finding all of her props, I improvised a lot.  But anyway, here is my version of her:

In this last photo there is a blurry orange thing between my legs lol.  That is a cat.  There is also another one in the photo!  Can you spot her?

I hope all of you otaku enjoyed this post <3 It was great making this costume and doing the makeup to go along with it. I would make a list of all the products I used but I can't remember what I used!  I used a lot of things for this look.  The most important things I used were two pairs of false lashes, a foundation much lighter than my skin tone, white eyeliner, black cream eyeliner, and circle lenses (:
They are actually my very first pair!  I received them a few days ago <3

I hope all of you otaku have enjoyed this post.

Busy busy!

I'm sorry I haven't really been able to post much.  My school work is beginning to pile up.  I've also been busy with some projects.  Since Halloween is approaching, I'm still in the process of making my costume.  I've been working on it since August!  When I finish it I'll definitely post about it.
I've also been attempting to make 3D nail art.  I've finished one hand of nails so far.  It's not easy work!  I really love the gyaru nail deco designs.  I'm more of a chunky deco person rather than a bling deco person.  I hope to become good at it and maybe I can even do a tutorial on how to create 3D designs!  I've really wanted to do a NOTD but since my nails are really brittle right now, they have been breaking very easily.  I will post soon though!  I've been collecting images of k-pop makeup from music videos.  So far I have screen shots of Rainbow, SNSD, f(x), and Secret!  I'm still looking for the perfect look to do a tutorial on so if you have any suggestions please let me know!

FOTD

It's been awhile since I've posted because I've been really busy with studying for midterms.  Since they're over now, I'm going to post a new FOTD.
Products I used:
Face:
Sephora Matifying Compact Foundation in Warm Fair
e.l.f Tone Correcting Concealer
Eyes:
e.l.f. Duo Eyeshadow in Mocha Swirl
Smashbox Cream Eyeliner in Rich Black
Lips:
e.l.f Luscious Liquid Lipstick in Nude Lips

On another note, I'm super excited for SNSD's release of "The Boys".  I've been following the teasers and the news on AKP.  In four more days, their comeback single will be released followed by the release of their albums on the 21!  I've heard the 30 second preview of the english version of "The Boys".  Taeyeon, YoonA or Seohyun, and Sunny sang.  Their english is surprising really good.  I'm not really too fond of the song so far though.  It seems so unlike them.  I really love the cute style of 'Gee' and 'Oh!'.  I also love the edgy style of 'Run Devil Run' and 'Mr. Taxi'.  This song seems a bit too harsh for them though.
Well next post should definitely be better.

Goo Hara (Kara) Inspired Tutorial

This is my very first tutorial!
This one is going to be about Goo Hara's makeup in the MR. music video.

In my opinion Goo Hara is the most beautiful Korean girl I've ever laid eyes on.  She's just like a doll!  Now, I'm in no way saying that I look like Goo Hara (although I wish I could say I look like her).  This is just a Goo Hara inspired tutorial.  I hope you enjoy it!
It's going to be photo heavy so click below if you would like to see(:

"The Boys"

So I'm pretty excited about SNSD's comeback album.  It was going to be released tomorrow, but SM Entertainment delayed it a few weeks because they're trying to release the US album at the same time as the Korean album.
I'm more excited about the Korean album because from what I have seen so far, SNSD cannot speak English very well (aside from Tiffany and Jessica).  Mr Taxi is going to have a Korean version when the album is released!  I've seen Youtube videos of the girls performing a Korean version of Mr Taxi and it was strange.  I am a lot more fond of the Japanese version.  I hope that the version I listened to was not the official version.
In order to show my excitement I attempted to do an SNSD look.
I've seen A LOT of people do Taeyeon in Run Devil Run.  I think it's because it's one of the only times SNSD wore dramatic makeup in a music video.  I was thinking of doing Tiffany in Mr Taxi but I couldn't get the hair just right.
My FOTD is inspired by Jessica when she did a photo shoot in Bali.
The lighting was really bad because it was taken at night and the flash was too harsh ):
So Jessica's makeup is just flawless skin, smokey eyes, minimal blush, and a nude lip color.
She put a lot of focus on her eyelashes, mainly her lower lashes.
If the lighting in my house was better you would be able to see that around the smokey eye, there is a slight outline of goldish brown and a light beige around my inner corners.  My skin is also a lot lighter than it is in that photo.

What I used:
Face:
Skin 79 Oriental BB Cream
Sephora Matifying Compact Foundation in Warm Fair
e.l.f Tone Correcting Concealer
Eyes:
e.l.f. Duo Powder Eyeshadow in Black Licorice
e.l.f Duo Powder Eyeshadow in Butter Pecan
e.l.f. Single Eyeshadow in Butter Cream
Smash Box Cream Eyeliner in Black
e.l.f. Mascara Primer
Maybelline Lash Stiletto Mascara
Lips:
Skin 79 Cream Lip Stain
e.l.f. Luscious Liquid Lipstick in Nude Lips

All you SONEs out there, enjoy "The Boys"!
I'm going to try to put up the next blog post within the next few days.  Maybe I'll either do an HG post or a DIY one (:
