Feeling uninspired.

I've been feeling really uninspired makeup wise.  I'm kind of tired of watching endless music videos trying to find good makeup looks.  If a music video is three minutes, it takes me about 10 to get through the entire video.  I'm always pausing to take screen caps and rewinding so I can get that perfect screen cap.

So, I've decided to do a makeup challenge.  I found this challenge here.  It seems kind of difficult but thats the fun part right?  I'm going to make a separate page for the challenge so it doesn't interrupt my regular posts.  It will be in my Nav bar ^^
Here it is!

I Love EOS Lip Balms!

I really love EOS lip balms.  I love them so much that I decided to buy the Limited Edition winter collection.   It came with three lip balms for $9.99 at Walgreens!  There was only one left so I had to get it (:  Individual lip balms are priced at about $3.29, so buying the set saved a bit of money ^^
The scents are: Passion Fruit (purple), Strawberry Sorbet (pink), and Mint (green) (Please excuse the fact that I have been using the Mint one! Hehe)

I first heard of this lip balm by watching one of Michelle Phan's videos (I know, lame right?).  I was so interested in the shape of them!  They're like little spheres of pure joy!  I have really flaky and chapped lips (you would think my lips wouldn't be since it's really moist here).  Since it has gotten colder, my lips have been dying!  It's about 69 degrees (F) here and I'm really cold!  It's usually about high 80s to mid 90s here.  Back to the subject, these lip balms really keep my lips moisturized ^^

I don't particularly care for the Passion Fruit or the Strawberry Sorbet scents.  They're kind of sickly sweet in my opinion (thats why I haven't used them).  I really love the Mint scent though!  When I apply it, it kind of feels like a lip plumper.  You know that slightly stinging feeling?  For some reason, I really like that feeling!  (Lip Venom is going a bit too far though, that stuff hurts!)  It smells really nice.  Very minty.

I love these lip balms so much!  I really recommend them (:

L'oreal Telescopic Explosion Mascara Review

I'm going to be reviewing L'oreal's Telescopic Explosion Mascara.
In the wrapper.

Close up of the wand.

The wand with product on it.

Bare curled lashes.

With the L'oreal Telescopic Explosion Mascara (EWWWW)

With Maybelline NY's Lash Discovery Mascara paired with Dolly Wink Volume Mascara
(See the difference? Haha)

Review:
I got this mascara on Black Friday for $2.  I thought, "What a steal!".  So I went home and read some reviews about it.  Everyone said this mascara was bad but I wanted to see if I could some how make it work.  As you can see from the photo above, there's nothing that will save this mascara.  It's a clumpy mess.  It doesn't hold the curl as well.  It does volumeize my lashes but it is not the kind of volume I like. I like for my lashes to look light rather than thick and heavy.

Pros:
Small brush easily gets to difficult areas
Volumizes
Easily come off with makeup remover
Cons:
Clumpy
Doesn't hold the curl

But wait!
I read a good review on this mascara as I was writing my bad review.  So, I thought I would give it another try.
So here it is!  I actually wiped off all the excess mascara (which was a lot) from the entire wand.  It looks a whole lot better but I still don't really like it.  When I'm doing my bottom lashes, I keep poking myself in the eye and it hurts hahah.  The spikes are really sharp!

I would not recommend this mascara for beginners or people without much time.  You need to apply this mascara with a really light hand.  I also think you need to wipe off all of the excess (even though it wastes a lot of product)

Rating:
2.5/5

Would I purchase again: Definitely not.

Miko's First Giveaway CLOSED

I have 50 followers now (actually 52) ^^ I'm so happy!  Thank you all so much!  I'm going to do a giveaway so show my gratitude to you all (:
This is going to be a bit strange.  Since I'm in college away from home, there isn't many shops and such readily available.  I've bought some things online but I shipped them to my home.  I can't take actual photos of the prizes until about December 16th+ so what I'm going to do is make it a surprise giveaway.
I didn't by much so far but I have things in mind to buy when I actually go back home and can go shopping.  You can expect to receive kawaii things if you win since I'm buying everything in twos so I can have one for myself ^^
I've always loved surprise bags for some reason.  It makes it so much more exciting to visualize what that magical bag could possibly be holding.  From my experience, surprise bags usually have unappealing things in them.  If you have similar experiences, I hope this surprise bag will change your mind about things (:
Here is the bag that will hold the mysterious items:
It's a Rilakkuma bag!  Isn't it super cute <3
I found some really cute things at Sephora that I'm probably going to throw in there.
You can definitely expect at least one box of 10pr eyelashes (:

This giveaway is open internationally ^^
The rules are going to be very simple so make sure you follow them for your entry to count!

RULES:
1. You need to be a follower via GCF
2. I would like to know more about you so tell me something about yourself (:

That's it for the rules!  Simple right?
Okay now for bonus entries:

BONUS:
If you have a blog just for the purposes of giveaways, I humbly ask of you to not attempt the first three bonus entries.  You may submit the fourth one.

2. Put my giveaway in your giveaways page with the photo above and a link to this post 1+
3. Put this giveaway in your sidebar 1+
4. Tell me something you want me to put in the surprise bag 1+
(Please do not say something like "Miko, I would like you to put a 50" screen television in the surprise bag!", please be reasonable with what you ask for.  If it can't fit in the bag, please don't ask for it.  Please don't ask for something that is very expensive ex: Plane Tickets to Korea.  If you ask for something utterly ridiculous, I will not count it as a 1+ bonus entry.  Also, please do not ask for clothing/shoes.  Not everyone is the same size.  Please ask for something that anyone could use like a specific makeup product or hair product.)

Revlon Beyond Natural Foundation Review

I wasn't originally going to do a review on this but I have decided to because I hate it so much.
I bought it since it had SPF in it and it was on sale for about $3.00.
Heres what it looks like right out of the tube.  When I seen it I was like, Uhhhh....
Even though it looks weird, I was thinking that my L'egere BB cream looks really dark when it comes out of the tube but it gets really light when you blend it into your skin.  It is actually supposed to match your skin color.  It only comes in three colors so I chose the lightest one.  Apparently, the more you blend it, the darker it becomes.  There seems to be these little blackish looking specks in the foundation and when you blend it, the specks pop and the color comes out.
I blended it and the specks popped.  In reality, if you do not blend it all the way and pop all of the specks, some of them will just be streaky or they will remain specks.  From what it seems, you need to fully blend it even though it won't match your skin tone anymore.  Luckily, it's almost a perfect match to my skin.  It is just a tad darker than my skin tone.
So here is how it looks on my face.  Gross.  There's no coverage at all.  It also felt really dry on my skin! I even think it may have dried out my skin even more since it wasn't this dry before I put it on.  Even the swatch I blended into my arm feels dry.  On top of drying my skin, it really made my dry skin noticeable ):  I've read other reviews saying that this product is great and it's moisturizing.  Bella Sugar even said it would be great as a tinted moisturizer!  I'm not sure if it is just that my skin hates this foundation.

Pros:
Has SPF (but there's so many foundations out there with SPF anyway)
Cheap

Cons:
Streaky unless blended extremely well
Made my skin dry
No coverage

Rating: 1/5

Have you ever tried this foundation?  Did it make your skin dry as well?
