Collective Haul and Review

I came home to a lot of packages :3
Most of the things were gifts but these are the things I got for myself.

From Pretty and Cute:
Sana New Born Eyebrow Mascara and Pencil in Light Brown
K-Palette Real Lasting Eyeliner
Lioele Carry Me Blusher in Cutie Peach
Skin79 Diamond Perfect Cover BB Concealer

From Sephora:
A free Tokidoki bag
Tokidoki Gelato Lip Balm Stain in Pink Martini
Tokidoki Cromatico Eyeshadow Palette in Mozzarella

From Milani:
Eye Tech Liquid Liner in Black
Eyeliner Pencil in True Black

From Amazon:
Panasonic Heated Eyelash Curler
Double Eyelid Tape

From Missha:
M Signature Radiance Two Way Pact in Chic Beige

Onto the review!  I'll be reviewing K-palette's Real Lasting Eyeliner
In the box, it came with an eyelashes :3

Out of the box

Just the eyeliner

The tip

Three different sized lines. You can make lines extremely thin!

After rubbing 20 times

After running it under water for 10 seconds

After rubbing it with the water 20 times

My take:
This eyeliner is pretty good.  The application is the best I've ever tried.  The tip is so sharp but it is very soft.  The lines I made were really thin.  That's also a bad point for me because I like to make thicker lines.  The felt tip is amazing!  This is the best felt tip liner I tried.  It makes application so easy, like you're drawing with a pen :3  The color is fairly black.  You need to go over it a couple times to get it to be a true black.  The staying power is better than most eyeliners.  It really is waterproof but it does not last if you rub it while it is wet.  It does not smudge at all and it is not flaky.  It is not one of those eyeliners than when you continuously go over the line, the color rubs off.  I really like this eyeliner!

Pros:
Great application, you can make the tiniest lines
Waterproof
Smudge proof
Long lasting
Easy to control felt tip

Cons:
Comes off if you rub it after wetting it
Expensive ($16 from Pretty and Cute)
Hard to find
Can't make thick lines

Overall rating: 4.5/5  I love this eyeliner.  It makes application fast and easy :3  This is a great eyeliner for a beginner!

Anemic, flight pushed back

I've been extremely fatigued and lethargic lately and I'm pretty sure it's because I'm anemic.
I've been extremely anemic a few years ago.  So I know what it feels/looks like to be anemic.
(rapid heart rate, fatigue, lethargy, dizziness, light headedness, pale skin, pale tongue, pale eyes)
(okay pale eyes sounds weird but you know when you do make that silly face where you pull your eyes down and expose that reddish part? lol)

So since I have nothing to really blog about, I will tell you about my adventure with anemia.

Here is a chart of normal range of Hemoglobin levels
Okay so since it happened a few years ago, I was a child.  My Hemoglobin is supposed to be 11-13gm/dl.
When I went to the hospital I was at 6.3gm/dl.
They even wanted to give me an emergency blood transfusion as soon as they received the test results.
There was actually one lady (I think she was the specialist) that said I should just stay in the hospital and take Iron supplements.  My primary doctor lady (who was in charge of me at the hospital) did not like this idea (but I did not like her) so I asked if I could just do the supplements (esp since a transfusion scared the crap out of me)
I had to do a chest xray since I was anemic for so long they thought my heart enlarged (I had PE every other day and we had to run a lot so it was very straining on my heart)
If my heart did enlarge, there was a high chance of my heart failing.
Of course, everything was fine :3 The supplements worked and now I'm here!

So being anemic really sucks.  Can you imagine walking up one flight of stairs and you're feeling so tired that you want to faint?  It's terrible.  I know there are a lot of things out there that feel terrible but I think that feeling weak is one of the worst feelings.  I really feel so helpless.  I can't stand not being able to do things for myself.

Other news, I had to delay my flight until tonight because they would not let my doggie on the plane.  They told me that I'm being cruel to her by putting her in a bag that she cannot stand up in.  Now, they told me to bring her out to try to see if she will fit in another kennel, and she refused to come out of the bag.  I forcefully carried her out and then she ran back into the bag.  I could see it being animal cruelty if she jumped out of the bag at the very second that she could, but she wanted to go back in!  I don't feel like that's animal cruelty.  Now these next few statements are going to be kind of vulgar but I thought it was a fitting analogy.  Please skip to the next paragraph if you are easily offended.  Okay okay so is it domestic violence if your husband/wife likes to get spanked during sexual intercourse?  No right? (I'm sorry if any of you do think that it would be domestic violence but I really don't feel like it would be)  I mean if they like it, I don't really see how it could be domestic violence.  If a neighbor called the police saying that he seen the man next door spank his wife during intercourse, I feel like the police would laugh.  Yeah, I'm not sure how that neighbor would be seeing this, but if it happened... lol.  So how could it be animal cruelty if my dog likes to be in the bag?  I honestly feel like it was out of their place to tell me that I was being cruel to my dog.  She wasn't crying to come out, and she didn't jump out at the very moment I opened the bag.  (I'm sorry if anyone thinks that I'm being cruel to my dog for putting her in a bag that she likes and feels safe in)

Okay sorry about my little rant about the airline people.  I actually had to go out and buy a kennel that she can stand up in and she has to go in the luggage compartment.  I'm really scared for her because she has a pretty severe case of separation anxiety.  She can't stand to be away from me and on top of that, she gets panic attacks when she's in a new environment (she really starts to hyperventilate and shiver non-stop).  She will have to go in the luggage compartment all by herself.  I hope she will be okay.  I'm so afraid that they won't secure her in well and she will be sliding all over the place.  I really hope she doesn't have a severe panic attack.  I wanted to see if I could possibly get tranquilizers for her but I couldn't.  It is hard to get a vet appointment so last minute.

Thank you for reading this super long post about stuff that doesn't matter to you :3
You guys are the best haha!

Finals are over, flight, sick?

It's 9:22am here in Hawaii and I finished my last final this morning.
I came home at about 9:00am and as soon as I stepped in the door, I threw up ):
I'm not sure why.  I was feeling fine until I came home.
Since finals are over, I will be flying back home to Oahu tonight with my doggie (who may be too large to be allowed on the plane -_-')
Hopefully I'll be able to post a bit more but I'm going to be quite busy with Christmas shopping and spending time with family.
My giveaway ends next week saturday :D
I  can't wait to  go home and see the prizes in the flesh haha.
I bought so much stuff on black friday and cyber monday that I don't remember what I purchased.
It will be a nice surprise (: My lenses I ordered from LensVillage should be arriving soon.
I hope that goes well.  I also need to make an updated review on their service.
If you follow me on Twitter, you will know that they have contacted me about their bad service and made some changes to their website so customers will be more satisfied with their service.
They also offered me a free lens with no strings attached.  We will see how that goes though.
I'll probably update tonight with a haul post if I have the time :3
Until then, please enjoy these photos:
(random guy sticking out his arm lol)
A kitty.  He looks like he wants to run away!

Alrighty.  That's all for now :3
Thank you for reading about my boring life ^^

FOTD and Revlon Lip Butters Review

(Please ignore my large forehead lol)
Okay okay this is totally vain and I'm not usually this vain but...
OMG look at my eyelashes!  Haha they look so nice today :3
I'm not wearing falsies ^^
Sorry for that extremely vain moment.

I received a sample of the Lioele Beyond the Solution BB Cream from Pretty and Cute so I'm going to do  a small review on this.  I'm wearing this BB cream in my photo.
I actually dislike this BB Cream because it really highlights my dry skin.  Most BB Creams I have tried kind of moisturize my skin and leave it dewy.  This one had a matte finish.  I think this BB Cream would be great for people with oily skin.  Since my skin is normal to dry, I didn't care for this one.  I do like that the color matches my skin tone perfectly but I normally wear BB Creams that are lighter than my skin color because I want to be lighter :P and my face is also darker than my neck for some reason.

FOTD:

Face:
Lioele Beyond the Solution BB Cream
Sephora Mattifying Foundation in Warm Fair

Eyes:
I don't know what the eyeshadow palette is called but I used the Tokidoki quad that came with Adios.   I used the matte black shade
elf Cream Eyeliner in Black
Dolly Wink Volume Mascara
Maybelline NY Lash Discovery Mascara

Lips:
Revlon Colorburst Lip Butters in Cotton Candy

Okay so onto the review:
I bought Lollipop (left) and Cotton Candy (right)

Swatches: Cotton Candy (top), Lollipop (bottom)

Cotton Candy
Lollipop
(sorry for blurry photos)

My take:
These Lip Butters are fairly moisturizing.  It is nothing like a lip balm though.  My lips felt dry after about half an hour so I had to keep reapplying it.  That isn't much of a problem to me since I'm constantly reapplying my lip balm to make sure my lips don't get dry.  I HATE the lollipop shade.  It is like a hot pink with a blue tone to it.  I do not like it at all.  I do love the Cotton Candy Shade.

Pros:
Comes in a lot of different  shades
Good price
Good Availability
 Moisturizing
Opaque
True to color

Cons:
Neither the color or the moisturizing effect is long  lasting
(Color fades when you eat or drink and if you don't eat or drink, it fades in about an hour to two hours)
(moisturizing effect faded in about half an hour)

Rating: 4/5
I really like these.  If they were more moisturizing, they would be perfect.

I definitely would buy these again.  I want to get more colors :3

50th Post: e.motion in motion, random photos

I'm so behind on posting since I'm studying for finals.  I also have ADD so I'm always so distracted by things.  I was studying for my big Chemistry final and then my dog was doing something cute and I forgot what I was doing and went on YouTube.
Fail ):

I also have exciting news.  Well, it's exciting to me!
Erynn from e.motion in motion began blogging again :3
She was the second blogger I discovered (the first was Eki) and she has been one of my favorites!
Her posts are always super detailed and honest with a lot of photos ^^
She's also from Hawaii like me :D
I also seen that she began following me.  I feel so special ^^

My nails are beginning to look unhealthy so no new NOTDs until they heal (I might do designs on these false nails I bought awhile ago if I have the time).
I'm leaving to go back to Oahu on December 15 (next thursday), which happens to be the day of my last final.
I need to study like crazy for my Biology exam.
I'l try to post as much as I can (probably when I get distracted).

So I'm leaving you all with these photos:
Hapuna Prince Hotel view :3 (Big Island of Hawaii)

This one is the view from a hike called pill boxes. (Kailua, Oahu)

Different view from Pill boxes

This one is blurry ): But this is another view.

And this one is my puppy Maci :3 I think she was about 3.5 months old.  (Now she's 6 months)
I'm going to give her a bath now haha!

Okay thank you for reading this post filled with nonsense!

Wet 'n' Wild Eyeshadow Review

I recently bought this eyeshadow because I read good reviews on it and I had a coupon for a dollar off so I only paid $2!  Here's the packaging.

The eyeshadows themselves.

Swatches

My take:
I was extremely disappointed with the black eyeshadow.  If you can tell, in the packaging, it's really glittery and pretty.  When I swatched it, there was hardly any glitter at all.  I really only bought this palette because the black one was so pretty!  I also do not think they blend as well as they should.  The black one especially was kind of choppy.  I had to spend extra time blending it.  The pink shade glided on perfectly and it blended beautifully.  I actually do not care for the silver shade as a color for my brow bone like it advises.  I like to give my brow bone a subtle highlight.  This color is very opaque so it isn't subtle at all.

Pros:
Cheap
Opaque

Cons:
The black one wasn't glittery as it is in the packaging
The black one didn't blend well
The silver one is a bit too opaque as a brow bone color for my taste

Overall I'd give it a 3/5.  I probably wouldn't repurchase the shimmery colors.  I would maybe purchase the matte shades.

Here's an FOTD using this palette
I wasn't very photogenic today lol!  (This look is actually doubling as the challenge look)
That hot pink shade is very unflattering on me ):

I used:

Face:
Missha Perfect Cover BB Cream #13
Sephora Mattifying Foundation in Warm Fair
elf Blush in Innocence

Eyes:
Wet 'n' Wild eyeshadow palette in Spoiled Brat
Milani Infinite Liquid Eyeliner
Maybelline NY Lash Discovery Mascara

Lips:
Revlon Lip Butters in Cotton Candy

NOTD

First, here is the napkin that inspired my last NOTD.
Isn't it adorable?!

This is my current nails!
I've been doing my nails a lot recently.  I really like to do my nails now that I'm getting better at it.
I feel like my control got much better than when I posted my first NOTD.
I think this is the best quality work I have done yet.  I love Totoro and thought it would be adorable to do a Totoro Christmas theme since I've never seen anything like it :3

I have a final tomorrow so it's going to be crazy studying all day!

LensVillage.com Review

I've ordered from this website once.  I received one good pair of lenses and one defective pair.  Here is where my adventure begins.

I email LensVillage because of the defective pair (The email is read from the bottom up but I will rewrite the whole thing since the photo may not be clear)
Pink=Me
Blue=LensVillage
(sorry for my horrible drawing skills)

Alright here we go.
My first email to LensVillage:
Hi I just received my kira kira brown lenses and my dueba crystal violet lenses. I'm very happy with the brown lenses but the violet lenses seem to be defective. I've soaked it and cleaned it multiple times but it still feels like there is something in my eye. I'm wondering if there is something else I could do to try to fix it or if I could get another one. The brown lenses are great though! There is no discomfort at all. The purple lenses feel like they are scratching my eye. They are too uncomfortable to even wear at all. Thank you.

-Kianna

LensVillage replies:
Hi Kianna

Good day.

In this case, we can offer you a discount code that enable you to make purchase at 30% discount on one pair order. Please let me know if you want to have this coupon code.

Thank you

Regards
Florence

(Whaat? 30%?  My damn lens doesn't work and I only get 30%?)

My reply:
Is a discount all you could give me? I really like the color but I don't think I want to repurchase it in case the same thing happens again.

LensVillage reply:
Hi Kianna

For this case, what I can offer another thing is have 50% money refunded for the pair that you said to have problem.

Please let me know

Thank you
Florence

(50%?  So I half price for a lens that doesn't work?)

My final reply:
In that case I would rather just take the discount code.

(I'm angry already.  But I was thinking that if I get a 30% off code I can just buy a lens thats like $25 and get $7.50 off)

LensVillage final reply:
Hi Kianna

This is the discount code that offer $8 rebate - KIANNA. The amount is probably more than 30% discount on a pair of lenses purchase from our store

Thank you
Florence

So with all that said, I was satisfied with the $8 rebate.  I only paid $10 for the lenses so it was almost the same amount.  What I didn't realize is they had a return policy that states:

All items purchased are not returnable except for products which is found defective or broken before bottle opened. No returns will be accepted after 7 days. For a return, you are responsible for the cost of returning the merchandise to us. If LensVillage.com has made a mistake then we will also refund to you the postage and packaging costs that you have incurred (on both the initial order and the cost of sending the products back to us). Please contact us at support@lensvillage.com and we will help you in refund process.

I actually didn't read this until much later.  So they actually did not help me in the refund process like they said they would.  They did not even offer me the option of sending it back for a full refund!
But wait, it gets better.
Remember how "Florence" said he gave me an $8 rebate?  Here is me typing the code in:
Well, what do you know.  They lied.  It's not $8, it's $5.

But the story does not end here.
I ordered from them again since they had a sale on the Puffy 3 Tones series that I really wanted to try.  I placed my order on November 26.  About a week later, I check back on my order status expecting to see that my order was shipped already.  My order status says: Awaiting Fulfillment.

I email them asking why my order hasn't been shipped yet.  I explain that there policy is that orders will be shipped within 2-4 days and how it's been 7.  They don't reply.  A couple days later, I leave a comment on their Facebook wall asking when my order will be shipped.  No reply.  Finally today, I leave an angry message for them.  Still, no reply.

All they did was email me a refund.  There were no actual words from them.  They just updated their website saying that my order is refunded because they were out of stock on one of the lenses I ordered.  Great customer service huh?

They actually didn't state that the lenses were out of stock either.  You know how most places will say that the product is out of stock and maybe an option that asks you if you want to be emailed when they receive that item again?  None of that!  It wouldn't have been a problem if they stated that the lenses were out of stock.  I wouldn't have ordered them, and there shouldn't have been a problem.

Sorry for such a long angry review.  I hope none of you had similar experiences.  I definitely do not recommend this website.  I actually advise you not to order even though the prices are low.  I waited a three for my first order to arrive.  Most places take about two weeks or less.

OH WAIT ONE MORE THING!  So LensVillage gives extremely good service to people that they sponsor.  I will show you an example.  (Please note that I have nothing against this blogger, and I actually like her blog very much.  I just dislike LensVillage) Simply Cute Rachel was sponsored by LensVillage.  They provided her with a cute animal lens case (which I didn't get, and neither did the other people that ordered from them that I spoke to).  She said her lenses came in about eight days.  My lenses came in a three weeks (I placed my order on Oct 3, received my order on Oct 24).  Now she lives in New York, and I live in Hawaii but I don't feel like the shipping should be a two week difference.

Well, that's my review.  I hope you benefit from my bad experience (:

NOTD

I did my nails again :3
Sorry for the bad quality photo.  I took it with my phone in chemistry class about half an hour ago.
I was inspired by a napkin.  Yes, a napkin.
I didn't take a photo of it but it is so cute!
It's this penguin with a santa hat and a scarf holding a candy cane.
I didn't have enough room to draw in the candy cane though.
I'll post a photo if the napkin when I get home!

Updates!

I'm currently studying extremely hard because I have a final in two days!
Since Biology is my weakest subject, I need to study a lot to even dream of passing this exam.
There is just so much information!

I recently found a small selection of the Revlon Lip Butters in my local Walgreens and I was so happy.  They had the one color I really wanted (cotton candy) and since it was BOGO 50% I bought Lollipop.
I can't wait to review them!
For now, here are some photos (:

Cotton Candy on the left and Lollipop on the right.

I also did my nails again lol.  This time is Christmas themed!
I shall do a post on that soon!

See you guys in a bit! (:

Today's NOTD is Rilakkuma and Hello Kitty :3
I recently bought Sally Hansen's Xtreme Wear nail polish in Mint Sorbet.
I love this color so I decided to use it hehe (:

FOTD

Sorry for the lack of posts!  I've been feeling sick and very uninspired to do anything ):
This is my FOTD and I actually don't remember what I used lol.
I was going for a sweet look though (:
I did my nails today so I'll post about that later.
I must take a Chemistry test now!

Urban Decay Naked 2

I recently (today) read BellaSugar's article about Urban Decay's new palette, Naked 2.
The palette features twelve shades that differ from the original Naked palette, five of which are brand new.
(Photos from BellaSugar's Facebook)
The packaging is a tin!
A double ended brush for all of your applying and blending needs.
I really like the colors on this palette!  Now both of these palettes are on my wishlist :3

This palette is going to go for $50 (so expensive, but worth it)

On another note, I finished my second challenge day (Inspired by one of Tim Burton's "evil" characters)

Feeling uninspired.

I've been feeling really uninspired makeup wise.  I'm kind of tired of watching endless music videos trying to find good makeup looks.  If a music video is three minutes, it takes me about 10 to get through the entire video.  I'm always pausing to take screen caps and rewinding so I can get that perfect screen cap.

So, I've decided to do a makeup challenge.  I found this challenge here.  It seems kind of difficult but thats the fun part right?  I'm going to make a separate page for the challenge so it doesn't interrupt my regular posts.  It will be in my Nav bar ^^
Here it is!

Day 1. Lace Makeup Look
Day 2. Tim Burton "Evil" Character Makeup Look
Day 3. Tim Burton "Good" Character Makeup Look
Day 4. Geisha Makeup Look

I Love EOS Lip Balms!

I really love EOS lip balms.  I love them so much that I decided to buy the Limited Edition winter collection.   It came with three lip balms for $9.99 at Walgreens!  There was only one left so I had to get it (:  Individual lip balms are priced at about $3.29, so buying the set saved a bit of money ^^
The scents are: Passion Fruit (purple), Strawberry Sorbet (pink), and Mint (green) (Please excuse the fact that I have been using the Mint one! Hehe)

I first heard of this lip balm by watching one of Michelle Phan's videos (I know, lame right?).  I was so interested in the shape of them!  They're like little spheres of pure joy!  I have really flaky and chapped lips (you would think my lips wouldn't be since it's really moist here).  Since it has gotten colder, my lips have been dying!  It's about 69 degrees (F) here and I'm really cold!  It's usually about high 80s to mid 90s here.  Back to the subject, these lip balms really keep my lips moisturized ^^

I don't particularly care for the Passion Fruit or the Strawberry Sorbet scents.  They're kind of sickly sweet in my opinion (thats why I haven't used them).  I really love the Mint scent though!  When I apply it, it kind of feels like a lip plumper.  You know that slightly stinging feeling?  For some reason, I really like that feeling!  (Lip Venom is going a bit too far though, that stuff hurts!)  It smells really nice.  Very minty.

I love these lip balms so much!  I really recommend them (:

L'oreal Telescopic Explosion Mascara Review

I'm going to be reviewing L'oreal's Telescopic Explosion Mascara.
In the wrapper.

Close up of the wand.

The wand with product on it.

Bare curled lashes.

With the L'oreal Telescopic Explosion Mascara (EWWWW)

With Maybelline NY's Lash Discovery Mascara paired with Dolly Wink Volume Mascara
(See the difference? Haha)

Review:
I got this mascara on Black Friday for $2.  I thought, "What a steal!".  So I went home and read some reviews about it.  Everyone said this mascara was bad but I wanted to see if I could some how make it work.  As you can see from the photo above, there's nothing that will save this mascara.  It's a clumpy mess.  It doesn't hold the curl as well.  It does volumeize my lashes but it is not the kind of volume I like. I like for my lashes to look light rather than thick and heavy.

Pros:
Small brush easily gets to difficult areas
Volumizes
Easily come off with makeup remover
Cons:
Clumpy
Doesn't hold the curl

But wait!
I read a good review on this mascara as I was writing my bad review.  So, I thought I would give it another try.
So here it is!  I actually wiped off all the excess mascara (which was a lot) from the entire wand.  It looks a whole lot better but I still don't really like it.  When I'm doing my bottom lashes, I keep poking myself in the eye and it hurts hahah.  The spikes are really sharp!

I would not recommend this mascara for beginners or people without much time.  You need to apply this mascara with a really light hand.  I also think you need to wipe off all of the excess (even though it wastes a lot of product)

Rating:
2.5/5

Would I purchase again: Definitely not.
